Silencing JFW!

Over the years, the JAWS for Windows (JFW) screen reader has evolved through numerous versions of the software.
Unfortunately, every time a version is released, the location on your computer where JFW installs to also changes.
This constant change makes it very difficult to install special files on your system to silence JFW while you play one of my games.

The Good News!

The good news is that you can silence JAWS yourself by following a few simple steps.

These steps silence JFW while a game is in progress, allowing the Eloquence speech synthasizer in the game to speak with no interference from the speech in JFW.

It is very important that you perform these steps from within the game itself.
Therefore, when you start an SV game for the very first time, follow the steps below to silence the JFW speech output.

These steps will save the settings, so you only need to do this the first time you play a game.
Do this for each of the SV games you try out, and everything should work properly.

If you are unable to silence JFW with these instructions, contact the JFW technical support department for assistance in silencing JFW.
You should find contact information for JFW technical support in the help menu of the JFW window!
